Nesta quinta-feira, Eduardo Baptista foi apresentado oficialmente como o novo treinador da Ponte Preta. A chegada foi recebida com muita surpresa, depois das informações apontarem para um acerto do clube com o técnico Vadão, que recentemente deixou o comando do Guarani. Na primeira resposta como novo comandante alvinegro, Eduardo falou do porquê de aceitar uma proposta neste momento, depois de afirmar que só voltaria a trabalhar em 2018.

– Esse era o plano. Tínhamos viagem programada para daqui 15 dias. Tive convites importantes, mas tinha decidido acabar o ano estudando um pouquinho e esperando uma oportunidade ano que vem. Mas tem coisas na sua vida que não é possível dizer não. E para a Ponte não se pode dizer não. Sou uma cria da casa, tive uma receptividade muito boa aqui no ano passado, pessoas que gosto aqui. Não pode falar não e tem que vir abraçar o projeto – explicou o treinador.

Essa será a segunda passagem de Eduardo no comando da Ponte. No ano passado, ele foi o responsável pela melhor campanha da equipe na história do Brasileirão por pontos corridos. Deixou o clube no começo na virada do ano para assumir o Palmeiras. A reestreia acontece neste domingo, fora de casa, contra a Chapecoense, outra equipe que luta contra o rebaixamento.

– Todos os jogos são complicados. Tirando o Corinthians que disparou, restante está embolado. Tem a Chapecoense, que briga por situação ruim, depois o Flamengo, que briga lá em cima. É buscar um padrão para buscar os resultados necessários, independentemente dos adversários – avaliou Baptista.

Por fim, o treinador falou sobre Emerson Sheik. Eduardo foi só elogios ao atacante e ressaltou a importância do mesmo para os objetivos da Ponte na temporada.

– É um jogador que vem ajudando muito. Nem parece que tem a idade que tem. Vamos cuidar bastante dele para que possa nos ajudar. É o cara que tem chamado a responsabilidade, para que ele nos ajude o máximo possível – completou o comandante.

Chapecoense e Ponte Preta se enfrentam neste domingo, às 16h, na Arena Condá. Depois, a Macaca recebe o Flamengo, dia 2/10, no Moisés Lucarelli. A equipe de Eduardo Baptista está atualmente na 15ª posição, com 28 pontos, um a mais que o São Paulo, primeiro clube dentro do Z4.

وأضاف: “إنهم يقاتلون من أجل البقاء في المراكز الأربعة الأولى لأن آرسنال موجود ضمنها، وتوتنهام يعرف كيفية الفوز بالمباريات، لديهم عقلية الفوز”.

وواصل: “هناك شيء مفقود في ليفربول، اليوم هناك نوع اللعبة، حيث يمكنك الاعتماد على ماني لابتكار نوع من التألق وصناعة فرصة هدف، تحركات ماني كانت ستفتح مساحات أكبر لـ محمد صلاح”.

وأردف: “”صلاح لا يبدو أنه ذاهب ليسجل، وهذا ليس مثل محمد صلاح، عليه أن يلعب على نطاق واسع في الملعب ويجد مساحة”.

واستكمل: “خط الوسط لم ينجح، لعب فابينيو وأمامه إليوت وكارفاليو، لم ينجح الأمر معهم أمام إيفرتون، وفي الدفاع خرج أرنولد بعد 60 دقيقة، هناك شيء ما غير صحيح في هذا الدفاع مع ليفربول وهم يسقطون الكثير من النقاط”.

Bruno Fernandes had an afternoon to forget in west London, failing to impact proceedings in a positive manner and continuing his recent run of poor form.

As per SofaScore, the Portugal international received a match rating of just 6.3 out of 10, the lowest total awarded to any of his teammates who started the fixture.

And when taking a closer look at his underlying numbers, it’s easy to understand why. Fernandes failed to have a single shot on target throughout the 89 minutes he was on the pitch, was unable to play a solitary key pass and lost possession a whopping 15 times.

He also lost nine of his 15 duels (60%), made an error leading to an opposition shot and ended the game with a passing accuracy of just 78%, letting Carrick down in the process.

Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst was equally unimpressed with the 27-year-old’s underwhelming showing, awarding a measly three out of 10.

“Michael Carrick put the wrong Portuguese on the bench. Fernandes’ hoik led to the breakthrough but required assistance from Jorginho,” wrote Luckhurst.

With new manager Ralf Rangnick expected to be formally announced over the coming days, Fernandes will be desperate to return to form as soon as possible, or he could find himself on the sidelines once again over the coming weeks.

Clayson foi peça fundamental nas duas últimas rodadas do Campeonato Brasileiro, quando fez gols contra São Paulo e Cruzeiro que garantiram empates em 1 a 1 e dois pontos que mantiveram em oito pontos a distância do Corinthians para o Santos, atual vice-líder na tabela de classificação. Apesar da boa fase, o camisa 25 ainda não é considerado titular da equipe de Fábio Carille, que vê Jadson e Romero à frente desde o primeiro semestre.

No próximo dia 11, quando o Brasileirão será retomado, Clayson deve começar jogando porque Romero está suspenso pelo terceiro cartão amarelo. Será mais uma chance para o único reforço corintiano do segundo semestre mostrar serviço e brigar pela titularidade. Atributos para isso ele garante que tem.

Ele já participou de 19 partidas, sendo sete como titular, e tem preocupações com o mau momento da equipe no Brasileirão. Ele, inclusive, falou em “variações” para dar a volta por cima e sacramentar o título nacional no fim do ano.

– Tem que focar no jogo a jogo. Não dependemos de ninguém. Está ficando mais perto do final e não podemos deixar cair.Os adversários estudaram a gente. Fizemos um primeiro turno impecável, mas eles estudaram e nós estamos treinando variações. Temos que ter isso para chegar nos jogos e conseguir sentir como os adversários estão jogando. Sabíamos que o segundo turno seria mais difícil, mas estamos treinando.

Jan got some support from the lower order who helped take the score past 250. Quetta were initially in control with a second-wicket stand of 78 but the batting began to fall apart. Shoaib Khan jnr top scored with 94 but lacked support from the middle order. Rasheed cleaned up the lower order to finish with 4 for 35. The Sialkot openers added 11 before stumps were drawn.

Júnior Tavares deu entrevista coletiva nesta sexta-feira depois de um treino leve, no qual Dorival Júnior se preocupou mais em poupar os jogadores de qualquer desgaste. Mas o lateral-esquerdo indicou como o São Paulo se prepará para enfrentar o Atlético-PR, neste sábado, no primeiro jogo de uma sequência como mandante no Pacaembu, sem nenhum trabalho tático. A chave está na conversa.

– Estávamos muito bem, somando pontos, fomos com objetivo de vencer o Atlético-MG, na quarta-feira, e não vencemos. Tivemos pouco tempo, mas conversamos bastante com o Dorival para acertar. Analisamos os erros para buscar a vitória agora – falou o camisa 22, que será titular em uma equipe que terá até quatro alterações.

Dorival promoverá as voltas de Arboleda e Cueva, que estavam com suas seleções, e pode ter os desfalques de Militão e Petros, que estão com desgaste muscular – Buffarini e Jucilei estão prontos para substitui-los. Mas Júnior Tavares assegura que a falta de tempo para treinar não será desculpa.

– Nenhum clube grande gosta de viver o que estamos vivendo. Estamos jogando, sempre procurando vitórias. É chato o clima que vivemos, mas procuramos reverter sempre. Não é hora de sair de casa. Conversamos entre nós para buscar o bem do grupo e melhorar no dia a dia.

According to The Sun, the England international would cost the Magpies a fee in the region of £25m in January and would demand ‘big wages’.

The report claims that Eddie Howe wants to bolster his team with Premier League experience and Trippier is one of the players he wants to sign.

PIF need to splash the cash and ensure that they go to Atletico with a £25m offer that the Spanish side will be willing to accept. The Magpies owners must get a deal over the line for the defender as he could be a major addition to the squad.

Howe would love him at St. James’ Park as he could be a brilliant option for him at right-back, as he has proven that he can merge solid defending with an ability to make things happen going forward. Trippier also has the relevant Premier League experience to be able to come in and hit the ground running, rather than needing a few weeks or months to adjust to life in England.

Last season, he made 3.6 tackles and interceptions per game in La Liga, showcasing his defensive quality at right-back. However, he also managed 1.2 key passes per game and picked up six assists over the course of the campaign, having provided four in the previous season.

Howe would surely love the balance that he would be able to bring to the team. He has shown that he can offer a creative outlet down the right without giving up on the defensive side of his game, highlighting why he could be an excellent signing.

Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate lauded the defender as a ‘warrior’ earlier this year. He said:

“He (Trippier) is a very underrated player. People are still looking at the player from a few years ago and not at the one who is at Atletico Madrid and playing like a warrior in the last few seasons. He is a big part of what we’ve done over the last few years and he gave a really good performance.”

Speaking after an additional display vs Belgium, the England boss commented: “Trippier was like a soldier out there, unbelievable defensive performance.”

The £77k-per-week beast played for both Burnley and Tottenham in the Premier League and this shows that he knows the division and what it takes to perform at this level. Thus, it presents another reason why the ex-Bournemouth man would love him at the club. This would be a perfect deal for the Toon Army.
